Enjoy a 4 day fully guided walking holiday on the Wicklow Way and three days visiting and exploring the most exciting and interesting places in the East coast of Ireland
Tours specially tailored for groups of 6 or more, This holiday includes four fully guided walking days and three special interest trips to places such as "Kilkenny City" the heritage capital of Ireland, The Cooley peninsula and the Mourne Mountains, Saltee Islands wild fowl reserve, and historic Wexford Town, Small Coach tour of the Wicklow Mountains visiting the most scenic places where other coaches never go

Day 1 - Arrival, sight seeing and short walk
We collect you in Dublin Airport or other arrival point near Dublin and following a spectacular 1 hour drive over the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains, we get a final look the entire City of Dublin as you cross featherbed Mountain, approaching Sally gap we enter, "The Wicklow Mountains National Park", the largest National Park in Ireland, the journey takes us over miles of high moor land along an old Military road, you pass Glenmacanass and Glendalough, an ancient Monastery you will see more of You arrive at your accommodation "Lough Dan House", which will be your base and home for the duration of tour. After settling in and some refreshments we take an afternoon walk which will give you a vivid introduction to the rest of the tour
Day 2 - Walking day
Route 2 From Lough Dan House, Wicklow Way and circuit of Lough Dan
Distance 16 kilometres, terrain; forest paths, mountain tracks, lakeshore, rivers and open farmland.
Grade moderate,
Some steep decent on tarmac and green roads to lakeshore, small areas of soft ground in the valleys.
We pass through Luggala estate where Brave heart and many other famous films were made,
This is home to Gareth De Brun, champion for the preservation of traditional music and a member of Irelands most famous brewing families "Guinness"
The walk covers a section of the Wicklow Way from Pier gates to Old Bridge and includes some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland
Day 3 - Walking day
Route 3: From Lough Dan House, Scar, Wicklow way to Glendalough
Distance 17 kilometres, terrain; good walking paths, open Mountain and forest tracks, and covers some sections of the Wicklow way from Paddock hill to Glendalough.
Grade moderate, the route includes Kanturk and Scar Mountain, total ascent 641 meters.
A most enjoyable and rewarding walk, some strenuous parts but by no means to difficult for the average fit person, superb views of mountains, glens and valleys
Day 4: Day trip to Kilkenny City The heritage City of Ireland
The Journey to Kilkenny city takes about one hour and 20 minutes and is an education about Irelands various landscapes and cultures
We do a guided walking tour of the City starting at the famous Kilkenny Castle and finishing at the head quarters of, "Irelands Heritage Council", after lunch you’re free to explore the City and do some shopping or what suits you best
Day 5 - Walking day
Route 5: Circuit of Glendalough
Distance can be varied from 9 to 17 kilometres, total ascent 450 meters, terrain; mountain paths
Board walk over soft ground, stone pitching and gravel tracks
Grade, moderate, one of the most popular walks in Ireland a complete circuit of the monastic City and the two lakes, and some of the most magnificent views you will ever see
Day 6 - Walking day
Route 6: St Kevin’s way, Tonelagee to Lough Dan House
Distance 14 to 18k depending on options, terrain; the entire route is heather moor land
Grade Moderate some steep ground to summit of Tonelagee 817metres
A most exciting walk to the summit of Wicklow's 3rd highest mountain with spectacular views of a most unusual heart shaped lake "Lough Oler" and Glenmacanass waterfall
Day 7 - A guided tour of Dublin City
Seeing interesting places such as Guinness Brewery, The national museum, the botanic gardens, trinity collage and many other places or a free day to do your own thing
You will depart Lough Dan House next morning after breakfast; we will leave you at Dublin City or Airport and look forward to seeing you and your friends for another visit another time
