Walking in Ireland Holidays is operated by Sean and Theresa Byrne from their Home high in the Wicklow Mountains, in the remote and spectacular location overlooking Lough Dan - the largest natural lake on the east coast of Ireland.
Sean and Theresa also own the popular Lough Dan House Guesthouse, as well as the family hill farm which is surrounded on 3 sides by the Wicklow Mountains National Park, the largest in Ireland. The Byrne family have lived here for 5 generations see www.byrneclan.org
We provide both Guided and Self Guided Walking Holidays in Ireland, which are designed to provide you with a pleasant and refreshing break in this historic and wonderful country
We Include all transport, accommodation, professional guides and meals. Delicious home cooked four course evening meals with exciting choice of menu served with wine or other refreshments.
Your host, Sean Byrne, will accompany you on all guided walking holidays in Ireland, which range from seven to twenty kilometres, depending on your level of fitness. During your walking tour in Ireland, you will witness spectacular scenery, listen to exciting stories about the area and the people who once lived here and indeed still live here.
If you choose the 7 day special tour you enjoy a 4 day guided walking holiday in Ireland, in some of the most scenic and beautiful areas you will find, and 3 day Mini Coach tour of the Wicklow and Dublin Mountains, visiting historic Glendalough - the oldest ecclesiastical city in Europe, Powerscourt House and gardens, Russborough House and many remote and interesting places where larger coaches cannot go.
We also include a trip to Kilkenny City our Heritage Capital in the centre of Ireland
